Update 10/12/13 - Terrible 2's

While you weren't watching, we turned two years old. The place is still standing, we haven't spoiled ourselves for good beer and I've only overheard one divorce conversation thus far in the bar. I call that a success! Which, let's be real, is entirely because of you guys. So thank you for two years of continued support despite the nut textured floors and occasionally strange smells.

Right, news? We're involved in a new festival named 'Brewsvegas'. It's happening in March next year and is a celebration of Brisbane, craft beer and community. We'll be updating you as we organise more but in the meantime you can get a sneak peek at some details over at the Brewsvegas website. Your bars, your beer.

There's a lot happening this weekend at the bar if you've got some time to come down.

Thursday the 12th of December

CAMDEN TOWN BREWERY TAKE OVER

Stone & Wood have recently created a partnership with the UK's Camden Town Brewery , importing their wares to our lucky shores. We'll be pouring a lineup of the beers this Thursday after 5pm. You can pop in, have a taste of all the beers straight up and settle on the one you like most.

Saturday the 14th of December

SIX POINT BREWING LAUNCH

Celebrating the arrival of Six Point Brewing in Australia, we'll be pouring a selected few beers from open on Saturday. I just came back from a visit to the brewery's home in Brooklyn, NY and was damn impressed. Canned beer is a bit of a thing for me right now.

Sunday the 15th of December

BEERKARY: XMAS EDITION

The very awesome Beerkary pop up bakery is returning for a Christmas themed morning. I've heard down the hop vine that they'll be incorporating some hops into at least one of the selections. We'll be opening early for this at 10am.

AND....

Bo Jingles the III will be returning to us this Sunday. If you happened to try this beer the last two Christmas shopping frenzy periods, you'll know that Bacchus brewery did us up a barrel aged chocolate rum stout of ultra-delicious extremeties. This year, the beer is clocking in at 10.8% and will be available from open at 10am alongside the Beerkary on Sunday. Very limited kegs and it won't be coming back until the next edition in December 2014.
