Weekend of Darkness: 2017



Deep down in some godforsaken dank and dripping basement, Doctor Scratch has been busy. Tirelessly researching, tinkering, creating, and curating, to deliver a mammoth line up of beers for the fifth annual Weekend of Darkness festival, which arrives this year on the 28th-30th of July. 

Inspired by the madness lurking deep in the black recesses of his twisted mind, he has collected an array of dark concoctions and specimens from the world over. Infusions, tinctures, barrels, and blends; ales, porters, stouts, barleywines, and all manner of grim dark beers in between...From classic styles to those with a more experimental flare, the good Doctor has oh so many malty treats to share with those with a thirsty curiosity... 

The Weekend of Darkness will see a preview night on Friday the 28th, followed by the main event on Saturday the 29th and Sunday the 30th. Local legends Mongrel Kitchen will be providing food for the weekend, in the form of big tasty stews for your dark hefty brews.

The Weekend will be broken up into four sessions, with taps changing over at 6pm for a fresh evening lineup on both Saturday and Sunday. On Friday the 28th, we'll also have a sneaky preview evening with a handful of dark treats for you keen beans.
